Usrah Budi 2: Lesson 1 and Sharings (second meeting)

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
New semester has begin. (It's a already near to mid semester break)
So, last night I attended Usrah Budi 2. The first attendance for me as I was absence previous class. I learned a lot from the sharings and lesson 1. So, I will put here the points that I jot down during the session.

Sharing 1: An-Nisa':148
Translation: "Allah doesn't love the public utterance of hurtful speech unless (it be) by one to whom injustice has been done; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing."

This ayah emphasize us to speak nicely, choose good words in speech. Once, the bad words been used, it shows that we are not really preserve our akhlaq. Bad words also might hurt people. As in a Hadith, Prophet said that "the tongue is shaper than the sword".

If we really want to speak, observe our words (i.e. using good words, avoiding cursing words (as the words are like a traditions for youth to say it). Also, spread dakwah, advices. Moreover, there will be a situation where we need to be silent; when we are angry.
There is a hadith advices us to avoid lagha things (e.g. speak pointless):
"من حسني إلسلام المرء تركه مالا يعنيه"

Refer: here

Sharing 2: Hud:73
Translation: "They said: Do you wonder at Allah's bidding? The mercy of Allah and His blessings are on you, O' people of the house, surely He is Praised, Glorious."

This ayah ask us "Should we doubt with Allah's plans?". Hence, Allah is Great, then everything that He wants will be.
Sometimes in our life, we are always questioning why was this happening, and why was that? though Allah has a better plan for us. He is the best planner in our life. We, as His slaves, we should pray (for the best, what we want). Occasionally, we already ask, pray, beg, but He won't let us to get that. Brothers sisters, again, Allah has a better plan for us. There's a hikmah in everything that happens.

The one that really attracts me last night usrah is "How to be confident in performing ibadah?"
Answer: Look back to the Asma ul-Husna, the great names. Then, we will trust in Allah's plan 100% without doubt, In shaa Allah.

Sharing 3: Al-Mujaadalah:13
Translation: "Do you fear that you will not (be able to) give in charity before your consultation? So, when you do not do it and Allah has turned to you (mercifully), then keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and obey Allah and His Apostle; and Allah is Aware of what you do."

This ayah is basically talk about sadaqa.
Some of the Muslims are afraid in giving sadaqa because they are fear of getting poor. Besides, Allah will give us a huge reward when we give sadaqa (either we see the reward or not). Mostly, good things happened in our life are based on our charity. Sadaqa is not limited to the money, wealth but we can also contribute by giving a hand, spread kindness, knowledge, dakwah. Even, if we are throw away anything that can harm people in the road is also consider as sadaqa (based on a Hadith).

Lesson 1: Taqwa
(Al- Hujurat: 13-18)
The words Taqwa is derived from the word (wa qa ya) pronounce as waqaa. It does mean to preserve, to protect. As a complete definition Taqwa is wall (protection) that will prevent us from doing haram actions, measures. With Taqwa, we will always follow Allah's commands and avoid what has He forbid.
There's a lot to discuss but that's all for this posting! ^_^
